Her performance as the “curious neighbor” of the title couple, Agnes, has developed into much more than just another supporting role. nail every sitcom iteration and ultimately (Spoiler alert) becomes (or is it?) the show’s great evil – it steals almost every scene it’s in. The practice of stealing scenes is an art that Hahn has perfected over the years (in many, many projects); Actor in several films and television shows.
From a story of playing the funny supporting characters in films like How to lose a guy in 10 days and Stepbrothers in dramas like to play Private lifeHahn is arguably one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. For some reason we recognize them, but we don’t know exactly why. Fortunately, this will no longer be the case in the future. As we salute Marvel Studios for finally making Hahn mainstream, let’s take a look back at some of Hahn’s best roles.

12. Michelle Rueben – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)

Hahn’s role in How to lose a guy in 10 days started the typography of her as romantic comedies’ (Very much like love, Win a date with Tod Hamilton!, The holidaysetc.) to “funny best friend”. In it, she fills those shoes for Kate Hudson’s Andie when she tries to bobble up Matthew McConaughey’s Ben.

In fact, this movie would probably be a lot better if she wasn’t forced to take on a supporting role behind Mila Kunis.

In this dark comedy, Hahn plays Lee Payne, the wife of Thom Payne (Steve Coogan), who tries to balance her artistic passion and motherhood. Though not the most famous show HAPPY Both Hahn and Coogan’s relatively satirical appearances succeed in this.

In the Mark Ruffalo vehicle / mini series, I know so much is trueHahn plays Dominick’s ex-wife Dessa. After Hahn ended their marriage after losing his child, it is incredible how he portrays Dessa’s heartbreak and trauma while still being a beacon of support for the two main characters.

Afternoon joy follows Hahn as Rachel, a sexually frustrated woman who goes to a strip club with her husband to spice things up. This leads Rachel to decide to hire a stripper (Juno Temple) as the couple’s nanny. Hahn basically does this movie (not basically, she does).

Asserting herself alongside comedic legends is no small feat, and she does just that as Alice, the wife of Brennan (Will Ferrell’s brother Derek (Adam Scott)), who has a strange obsession with Dale (John C. Reilly) Hahn’s comedic Performance is nothing less than scene theft.

Hahn brings an inimitable amount of stupidity and threat to the role of In the spider verseSex-reassigned Doctor Octopus. The film’s voice acting cast is absolutely stacked and somehow stands out (like her other Marvel foray in WandaVision) as one of the best. Your performance is ubiquitous (in the best possible way) and a fantastic argument for more voice over work in the future.

in the I love youHahn plays a fictional version of Chris Kraus, who wrote the novel on which the series is based. The story follows the artist as she develops a psychosexual fascination with a local Texan professor, Dick, played by Kevin Bacon (despite being married to Griffin Dunne’s character). The series marks Hahn’s first lead / complicated role that totally nails it … although the show was canceled after its first season.

Private life sees Hahn play Rachel, who, together with her husband Richard (Paul Giamatti), is desperately trying to get pregnant. Things get complicated when her niece Sadie (Kayli Carter) decides to live with them in New York. Both poignant and hilarious, Hahn captures the devastatingly complex emotions of a woman fighting for a child.

Hahn’s only Emmy nomination was the result of her role in Transparent. The series follows the Pfefferman family when they come to terms with the fact that their father is a transgender woman named Maura. Hahn plays Rabbi Raquel Fein, who is with Maura’s son Josh. As a supporting character, Hahn stands out as one of the funniest and most unique on the show.

Her performance explores sexual awakening, alterism, and gender on a show where she may not quite know what she is trying to say. Regardless of this, Hahn shines as a suburban mother who finally decides to live, against the type, without ever betraying her characteristic charisma. A career best.
