The Mars Volta have announced a huge 18-LP box set, BrooklynVegan points out. La Realidad de los Sueños contains the band’s entire studio discography as well as Landscape Tantrums (unpublished material from the De-Loused in the Comatorium sessions) and a photo book with behind-the-scenes footage. The set will be released on April 23rd. Preview the set below.
The Realidad de los Sueños is limited to 5,000 copies. Each record is pressed onto 180 grams of black vinyl and placed in a “Mars Volta-esque designed” box according to the product description.
The Mars Volta disbanded in 2013. Her last album was Noctourniquet in 2012. In 2019, Cedric Bixler-Zavala hinted at the band’s return, saying the reunion would “involve two grown ass men using essential oils and bold new perfumes, shooting ideas and shooting their asses across the fucking lawn to get rid of those worms . “
