The Weeknd’s music video for its upcoming single “Take My Breath” was due to be shown in Imax theaters this week before the Suicide Squad screenings. However, according to new reports from Variety and TMZ, the image, which reportedly had intense strobe light, was removed due to concerns about possible seizures. A Weeknd representative confirmed the news to Pitchfork. The single and the video will be released on YouTube this Friday.
The Weeknd initially teased its next single in a two-minute preview snippet on Monday (August 2nd). His official announcement of the route was shared with an advertisement in connection with the Tokyo Olympics.
