Tim Hecker shared a new song with Agata Harz and Katarzyna Smoluk, members of the cult avant folk ensemble Ksiezyc. “Demeter & Johannes’ Song of Pandemia” was recorded last autumn and is based on improvised vocal recordings by the two singers. The performances were based on “an ancient Slavic spell, or enchantment, as they called it, the purpose of which is to evoke spring after a dark, terrible winter time.” The title is on the upcoming intermission compilation of the Unsound Festival on March 5th to see.
