Deadline brings the news that Sony Pictures Animation Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is in early talks to potentially release the fourth installment of the animated franchise on Amazon Prime Video. The news follows the announcement in June that the film’s theatrical release has been postponed to October 1. The point of sale notes that the film has been moved “off the calendar” while Sony is reportedly on the verge of a $ 100 million deal with the streamer for a worldwide release (via Variety).

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is directed by Jennifer Klushka and Derek Drymon from a script by franchise creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who previously directed the fourth part after directing the first three films. The film is being directed as executive producers by Tartakovsky and Michelle Murdocca with Alice Dewey Goldston as producer.

The fourth film will no longer show Adam Sandler as the lead and voice of Dracula after voicing the character in the first three films. Brian Hull is now taking over the role who previously voiced the character in the recently released short film Monster pets. Selena Gomez, who has voiced Mavis in every film, is returning for the final part and will now serve as executive producer.

The ensemble cast for the first Hotel Transylvania Films include Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, David Spade, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Asher Blinkoff, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Kathryn Hahn and Jim Gaffigan.
