ComingSoon presents an exclusive clip from the upcoming science fiction thriller The colony, written jointly by director Tim Fehlbaum, Mariko Minoguchi, Jo Rogers and Tim Trachte. The film will be released in selected cinemas and on demand on August 27th by Saban Films.

“The catastrophic conditions on earth have forced a mass exodus to a distant planet,” says the official summary. “Generations later, a manned mission is racing back to assess the living conditions on the desolate, mostly underwater world. The expedition’s lone survivor is attacked by a violent band of scavengers who are themselves trapped in combat with a far more sinister enemy. Now the survival of mankind depends on the courage and ingenuity of the lonely astronaut. “
