Paramount + ‘s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds officially begins production
Paramount + has officially announced that production will be based on the cutting edge of CBS Studios Star Trek Spinoff series entitled Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has finally started in Toronto. The announcement includes a new video which you can check out below. It shows the main cast, led by Anson Mount, Ethan Peck and Rebecca Romijn, expressing their excitement about returning to the Star Trek Universe.

“In a career there is never enough work that is pure joy. I feel like my friend Alex Kurtzman along with David Stapf of CBS Studios and Julie McNamara of Paramount + gave me just that by haunted the storerooms of my favorite candy store and I am grateful. “ Co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman said in a statement. “With a damn good cast and undying love for the original series, we’re going boldly.”
In addition, the series has found five new actors in the form of Babs Olusanmokun (Black mirror), Christina Chong (Tom and Jerry), Celia Rose Gooding (Jagged little pill), Jess Bush (The Nortons) and Melissa Navia (Billions), who are all set as regular regular guests.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will follow the crew for the decade as Captain Kirk spearheaded the USS Enterprise, exploring new worlds around the galaxy.
“I am incredibly grateful to be working with Akiva and our brilliant, diverse cast to bring the adventures of the Starship Enterprise to life.” said Myers, co-showrunner and EP. “For someone who has dreamed of spaceships and alien worlds since childhood, this show is a dream come true.”
The series is directed by Anson Mount, Ethan Peck and Rebecca Romijn who repeat their roles as Captain Christopher Pike, Spock and Number One. They first portrayed the characters in the second season of Star Trek: Discovery.

The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds The premiere will be written by Akiva Goldsmith with the story of Goldsmith, Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet who will also serve as executive producers along with Henry Alonso Myers, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth.
