Austin-based duo Black Pumas were the musical guest on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night (January 19th). They played “Colors” from their 2019 debut entitled Black Pumas. Check it out below.

Black Pumas have also released a couple of Spotify singles. They recorded a new version of “Colors” with the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble for the series. They also covered Rodriguez’s song “Sugar Man”. Scroll down to hear this.

Black Pumas received a number of Grammy nominations for this year’s ceremony, including “Record of the Year” (“Colors”), “Album of the Year” (Black Pumas) and “Best American Roots Performance” (“Colors”). Last month Black Pumas shared a cover of Lou Rawls’ “Christmas Will Really Be Christmas”.
