Dave Grohl made a new film about tours and vans called What Drives Us. The film, co-produced by Foo Fighters, includes interviews with St. Vincent, Slash, The Edge, Floh, Steven Tyler, Lars Ulrich and many others. Before its American release on April 30th, Grohl shared the trailer for What Drives Us. See below.
What Drives Us is published in the Coda Collection via Amazon Prime Video. “This film is my love letter to every musician who has ever jumped into an old van with friends and left everything behind for the simple reward of playing music,” Grohl said in a statement. “What started as a project to pull the curtain back on DIY logistics, cram all your friends and gadgets into a small space for months, eventually turned into an exploration of why? What is it that drives us? ‘”
Dave Grohl previously directed the 2013 documentary Sound City. He also created and directed the HBO series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways.
