Fountains of Wayne released their landmark album Welcome Interstate Managers in 2003. The record is pressed onto Deluxe 2xLP Red Vinyl and contains the bonus track “Elevator Up”, the B-side of the band’s hit single “Stacy’s Mom”. The new edition will be released on May 28th via Real Gone Music. You can pre-order it here.
This is the first time Welcome Interstate Managers has received a widespread vinyl release. The new edition was released in Cleveland, Ohio on Gotta Groove Records. The package also includes a gatefold jacket and two printed inner sleeves with texts.
Last year, Fountains of Wayne met for their first live performance in seven years as a tribute to their late bandmate Adam Schlesinger, who died last April of COVID-19. Sharon Van Etten was seen at the Coronavirus Relief benefit concert.
