“Included as part of our DC list are a few legacy development titles, including New gods and T.he dig won’t move forward“Warner Bros. and DC said in a statement.”We thank our partners Ava DuVernay, Tom King, James Wan, and Peter Safran for their time and collaboration during this process, and look forward to continuing our partnership with them on other DC stories. The projects remain in their skilled hands as they move forward in the future.”
Tom, I loved writing NEW GODS with you. I’m upset that the saga of Barda, Scott, Grandma, Highfather, and The Furies ends this way. Immersion in Kirby’s fourth world was the adventure of a lifetime. You can’t take that away. Thank you for your friendship. And remember … #DarkseidIs pic.twitter.com/XyyIjcB8Wv

Sources report that the decision to abandon development on the projects was made when DC Films President Walter Hamada and other studio executives began pondering the proposed comic strip projects in development for the DC Extended Universe, and believed that there was nonatural place”To squeeze the projects together over the next few years. Instead of leaving those involved in the projects in development hell without finding a clear path for further development, the studio decided to close development for the time being.
However, it is said that Warner Bros. and DC are still open to revisiting the projects later in case there is a clear interest from the audience in continuing to visit the Atlantic and cosmic worlds. Some insiders said WB believed Jason Momoa LED sequel would be enough for now. Regarding DuVernay’s sprawling epic, some sources say that part of the decision was to quit New godsThe development arose out of the desire to create space between film and film Zack Snyder’s Justice League, as the former would include Darkseid as the villain, who was recently featured in the infamous Director’s Cut.
