Last November, we released an infographic to help you understand your Spreaker audience and better engage with your listeners. Plus, you’ll have the upper hand on new data that can be used to monetize your content.
After 6 months, we would like to let you know who is listening to your content on Spreaker.
The first thing you notice is the increased average TSL: 28 minutes against the 25 minutes in November with a growing trend in total listening time for on-demand content. This data reflects what was recently stated in the Washington Post: “In the past 5 years, the average number of unique monthly podcast listeners has tripled from 25 million to 75 million.”
The number of podcast listeners has increased tremendously, as has the time they spend listening to audio content.
A user is listening an average of 34 minutes LIVE Streaming and 25 minutes of on-demand content. So live streaming is more engaging, but it seems to have less power on the web.
72% of the total time spent listening is related to On-demand contentas listeners prefer to get an on-demand experience rather than a live one.
We’ve also seen a slight increase in the number of women on our platform: only 1% more, but still a change that could anticipate the total division between men and women regarding podcast listeners reported by Edison Research.
The United States retains its first place in Spreakers Community, followed by Italy for TSL and number of games and then from Spain for the number of downloads.
