Space Jam: A New Legacy Adds Zendaya as Lola Bunny!

After we released the exciting first trailer for the long-awaited sequel to the sports comedy this morning, the cast for Warner Bros. ‘ Space Jam: A New Legacy takes a big leap forward when Entertainment Weekly announced that Emmy winner Zendaya (euphoria) joined the movie as Lola Bunny!

After James officially entered development in 2014 and starred in development hell after nearly 20 years, A new legacy was directed by Justin Lin (Q9: The Quick Saga), although it’s unclear why he left the project, he then had Terence Nance (Random acts of flight) took over until he left for the vision of the film due to creative differences with the studio and producers and eventually saw Malcolm D. Lee (Girl trip) land the job.

Produced by Black PantherRyan Coogler, the movie is about James and his young son Dom (Cedric Joe) who dreams of becoming a video game developer when they are trapped in a virtual room by a rogue AI called Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle) . To get home safely, he must lead Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the rest of the undisciplined Looney Tunes digitized players on the pitch to defeat Al-G’s.

In addition to James, the film will feature an impressive roster of professional talent, including Damian Lillard of Portland Trailblazers, Anthony Davis of New Orleans Pelicans, Klay Thompson of Golden State Warriors and Draymond Green, Kyle Kuzma of Los Angeles Lakers, and Chris Paul of Phoenix Suns. Diana Taurasi from Phoenix Mercury and siblings Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike from Los Angeles Sparks. The cast for the film also includes Star Trek: Discovery and the Walking Dead Alum Sonequa Martin-Green as James’ wife Kamiyah and Zendaya as Lola.

Michael Jordan teamed up in the fan favorite original from 1996 Looney Tunes Characters to fight a group of animated aliens in the field. Space Jam In addition, it grossed 230 million US dollars worldwide, including Jordan some of the biggest stars of the NBA such as Larry Bird, Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing. Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes will now team up with James on the pitch to battle an unknown entity.
